It's Saturday

Good morning everyone

It's the weekend and yahoo, not a moment to soon. It's a beautiful day in the NC mountains which presents a great opportunity to get outside and get some fresh air. No matter where you live, Saturday's are fun but they can also be fraught with challenges.

Let's take a look at how we can make today and every day more enjoyable.

  1. Get up a few minutes early and do a 10 minute sweep.
  2. Look in the mirror and greet yourself. "Good morning hottie - It's going to be an amazing day!" Guys too.
    1. Get the coffee on - real quick and while it is perking
      1. Put in a load of wash
      2. Let the dogs out
      3. Clean the kitchen counters of all clutter
      4. Straighten up the den
      5. That's it - works done and the house looks great.
      6. Note - unless you live in a museum - things do not have to be perfect.
    1. Now, get yourself a cup of hot coffee and move to a room where you can be alone to enjoy it - all by yourself. The next few minute are "you time."
      1. Take a big sip and as you savor it, give thanks to your higher power for all of the blessings and abundance which you have been given. Even if you can not see it or do not believe it at that moment - just do it and do it with feeling and passion because you are blessed.
      2. Now pull out your affirmation sheet. If you do not have one, send me your email address and I will get you one.  Do not just read the words with your eyes, read them with your heart. Let these words absorb and surround your entire being.
    2. It's now time for the scale. Don't be afraid, the scale is your friend and accountability partner. I love getting on the scale because I know it is going to tell me that I am living in a way which is in alignment with who I am. If I am doing the right things, the scale is going to let me know and of course the opposite hold true.
You all know I am a big believer in the Universal Laws and I have created a new one for you today - The Universal Law of Fluctuation. It states that, your weight will go up or down according to your actions. More for women than for men due to physiological differences, but the principal holds true for everyone. If your weight is up 3 lbs. this may be due to a variety of reasons and falls under this law. Be mindful of it but do not obsess. Any more than 3 lbs. and you are off track - get back on by reaffirming who you are.

If you still have some free time before the others get up, start prepping dinner or whatever needs to be done for the rest of the day .

At the appropriate moment, bring your spouse a cup of coffee, give them a kiss and tell them that you love them. Let them know it's going to be a great day (transfer your enthusiasm on to them) and then get on with having a wonderful Saturday.

Make today a day to reconnect with your immediate family; husband, wife, significant other, kids. Do not neglect them. The more love you show them, the more they will show you.

It's your life - create it.

Some Funny Stories

People are getting results and are really excited! I have heard from a lot of you that you are giving away weight like crazy. I love it. Keep becoming...

Mary's Funny Story

Seems Mary has given enough weight away that she now needs to start wearing a belt. Seems she came home from the grocery store and had her arms full carrying the bags in when the unthinkable happened - yep, the pants came down to the ankles. Her husband got an eyeful when he came to help. Keep it up Mary!

An Ah-Ha Moment from Matt

Matt told me that he was nuts for nuts. Me too, so when I want nuts, I but them from the bulk section of the super market or health food store; that way I only take a scoop and leave the rest there. Nuts are a great food to be enjoyed in moderation and by purchasing them this way you can buy just the right amount.

Keep sharing your stories. You are an inspiration to all of us!

How to Get Thin Without Ever Losing a Pound

Subtle difference in how we communicate with ourselves can help us create major changes in our lives. Let's look at the difference between losing weight and giving it away.

At Fabulicous, we do not lose weight for the very simple reason that every time we lose something - we go and find it again. Instead we give our weight away. This way we do not have ownership of it anymore and can be free of it once and for all.

Every time you lose something, the first thing you did once you realized it what was the first thing you did? You went on a hunt to find it and probably did not stop looking until you found it - right? That is because you still had ownership of it and you needed it.

Instead of losing your weight, why not just release it - give it away; that is what you do with things which you no longer want. Remember, little shifts in the way we view things give us huge results.
